After all my travels it was nice to get back to playing in the mud with some cross country mounting bikers at the Pivot TwentyFour12 Enduro. Friday mornings arrival at Newham Park near Plymouth. It was time to get wet as the rain started and didn't stop for the rest of the weekend.
Normally Friday is my day for going round the course looking for photo points, but I was informed that there would be a junior 3 stage race starting a 3pm for the first stage, 18:00 for stage 2, with the final stage on Saturday morning.
The main event of the 12 and 24hour race was still due to start at 12 midday Saturday.
Now with the kids racing done it's time for the adults. Over 200 riders lined up behind the start line for both the 12 hour and 24 hour race with the added bonus that this years event also featured a national champs race for the 24 hour event. With all the rain the course was looking super challenging, and I'm not talking about the technical sections. Anyone who has ridding in this slimy mud will know.
