I'd highly recommend Dave if you need him for any sort of photography work - whether a wedding or sports photography. I love his work. How I will work the your day.

This is a brief description of  how I will work

Bride Pre Ceremony Portraits with Dad, Brother, Sister, and or  Bridesmaids, posed or none posed.

From the Ceremony Venue, I will arrive ahead of time to photograph  the Groom, and other members of the wedding party, to the arrival of guests, then the  Bride, candid or posed.

Once the ceremony starts I will quietly capture the moments of the proceedings with candid photos.

After the champagne toast I normally start formal portraits with family members, nominated friends. with the main group shot of everybody.

Once everybody is settled for the wedding Breakfast I will return to capture the speeches, with candids of guests.

Candid moments will be photographed during the day.

I always try and use  creative lighting  where possible, sometimes opportunities crop up that just need to be photographed as they may never happen again.

Quick Questions...

I'm getting married next year, what do you cost for a days photography?

As a starting point for a full day from my arrival to late in the night, my cost for my time to photograph and time to edit the collection to post on a secure gallery for you to view will be from £1000 as I have not much info to go on yet. You can always email more details and questions about your day?See the contact me option at the top of the web page.

Do I get a photobook with the all day rate?

Firstly I will say no as the rates are for my time and skill. Photobooks are becoming ever more popular these days, there are so many online photo publishing sites that they can do better deals than I can. A lot of couples like to do their own photo book, some are happy to pay the extra for me to create the books so I have them as an extra item rather than pricing them in as a fixed item.

What do I do, how do I book?

The best way is to just email me at photos@davehayward.com with the date of your wedding day and a brief description on how your planning your day.  Will the ceremony be at the same place as the wedding reception, will you be getting married in a church, or registry office. With this information I can provide a favorable quote?

Do you do creative lighting?

Yes I do.  as much as possible at the right time after the ceremony.

How many photos do you take?

Now that all depends on the type of day organised. I generally deliver from 200 400 images from a days wedding. I don't photograph everything that moves in the hope that makes a good shot, I look for opportunities to build a story. Only once have I delivered over 900 images, there was a lot going on that day, lots of activities were arranged for the guests.

Do you Travel outside of Kent?

Yes I do, when my services are required I will travel

Can I buy extra prints from you?

Yes you can, you can buy prints directly from the gallery, these will be priced at the gallery rates. The print will come from a print lab called Loxley based near Scotland. They have very good turn around time from the moment the order is placed, prints will arrive with in 4 days. If you decide to order framed or canvas  prints then there will be a lead time from a week as frames are made to order.

How Do I get the photos?

Depending what has been agreed for my services I'll deliver images via my website. The modern age of the internet and the fast pace of social media, I realize that is important not to keep a couple waiting. Most of my image delivery via emailed secure download link,  with in a few days of the wedding day.

Do you work alone?

Most of the time I do, helps to keep cost down. Occasionally I may ask my wife to assist if the weather is going to be bad, an extra pair of hands comes in handy sometimes.

Are you a natural light photographer?

Normally yes, if the natural light is complementary to the scene I'm photographing the I won't use flash. there are situations where the registrar or minister will make a point of making it clear to not use flash during the ceremony. the most challenging situations are in churches.

Do I have to order prints from you?

No not if you don't want to. Once you have the digital images in your possession you can go off to the local printing lab or upload them to an online print lab , such as photobox go go from there.
